SOLAR is an iPhone clock that reconnects time to the Sun. It shows Solar Time, the current day or night cycle, daylight, sunrise, sunset, twilight and alternate historical ways of reading time.
Boilerplate
SOLAR is an independent time and daylight app designed around one idea: make the changing solar day understandable at a glance. A clear-sky light field and temporal Halo show where the user is between sunrise and sunset or sunset and sunrise. Solar Time, Seasonal Hours, Byzantine Time and Local Time offer different readings of the same instant, while Solar Reminders follow natural events as their civil times move through the year.
